Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 126 words
A stock material for forming expanded net-like materials and comprising a sheet of relatively high density expandable cellular thermoplastic material having a latent, thermally activable blowing agent therein and having generally spaced apart rows of spaced incisions therein, with the incisions in alternate rows being approximately aligned transversely of the rows and being in predetermined staggered relation to the incisions in intervening rows, the material being stored, handled and shipped in a relatively high density compact form and, when desired for use, opened into a net-like form to increase its dimension transversely of the rows of incisions, expanded in thickness and reduced to a relatively low density by activiation of the blowing agent and set in net-like form by overcoming the elastic memory of the material.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 126 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 68 words
A stock material according to claim 1 wherein the incisions in the sheet are straight, elongate incisions arranged in parallel straight rows extending across at least a predetermined area of the sheet, with adjacent aligned incisions spaced apart a distance less than the length thereof and with the staggered relation of incisions in an adjacent row being such that an adjacent parallel incision overlaps the adjacent aligned incisions.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 40 words
A stock material according to claim 2 wherein the incisions in the sheet are equilength, adjacent aligned incisions are spaced apart a distance less than about one-half the length thereof, and an adjacent parallel incision equally overlaps adjacent aligned incisions.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 30 words
A stock material according to claim 1 wherein the incisions in the sheet are arranged in spaced apart curvilinear rows extending through at least a predetermined area of the sheet.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 30 words
A stock material according to claim 4 wherein the incisions are of predetermined curvilinear configurations and further wherein predetermined areas adjacent said area through which said rows extend remain unslit.
