Abstract
Abstract A composition is provided which is especially useful as a fluid loss additive for acidic aqueous solutions. The composition is prepared by first mixing together an emulsifier, an oil soluble surfactant dispersing agent and a carrier oil. Clay particles are then dispersed in the mixture followed by an adhesive binder which functions to bind the clay particles together when screened out on a formation face.
