Abstract
Abstract A mixture of poly (ethylene glycol) dimethacrylate and an alkali metal salt of an ethylenically unsaturated organic acid is polymerized by means of an ionizing radiation on the surface and inside of a polyester fiber material such as poly (ethylene terephthalate) fiber. The treated polyester fiber material is provided with the antistatic and hygroscopic properties as well as durability by washing.
