Abstract
Abstract Intermetallic compound superconducting materials having a stable Beta -W type crystal structure represented by a general formula of A3B brought into their closest packed structure and having high critical temperatures in which a part of the atoms either in the A-sites or in the B-sites are replaced by the atoms of a tetra-, penta- or hexa-valent transition metal so that the ratio between the average atomic radius of the atoms in the A-sites and that of the atoms in the B-sites lies close to 1.
