Abstract
Abstract A synthetic resin bobbin comprising at least one contractable wall constituting a desired portion of peripheral side wall of a tubular synthetic resin bobbin main body. The contractable wall is composed of a plurality of connecting members bent in a Vshaped or inverted V-shaped form and arranged vertically along the vertical wall of the main body. When the bobbin is subjected to pressure due to the shrinkage of yarn wound thereon, the connecting members are elastically contracted at their bent portions to contract the contractable wall.

A synthetic resin tubular bobbin comprising at least one axially extending, circumferentially contractable wall constituting a desired portion of the axially extending side wall of a tubular synthetic resin bobbin main body, said contractable wall comprising a plurality of connecting members bent in an inclined direction axially to form a bent portion, said bent portion arranged in axially spaced relationship along the axially extending side wall of the said main body, and slender, axially extending rod means connecting the bent portion of each of said axially spaced, connecting members to one another whereby the connecting members can be elastically contracted at their bent portions to circumferentially contract the contractable wall when the bobbin is subjected to pressure due to the shrinkage of yarn wound thereon.
