Abstract
Abstract In a heat pipe comprising three heat-transfer regions, a first capillary structure is disposed at, and extends between, two of the regions; and a second capillary structure, hydrodynamically isolated from the first capillary structure, is disposed at the third region. Thermal switching between the first two regions, one of which serves as the condenser region of the heat pipe, is controlled by a heat flow between the third region and the condenser region.
