Abstract A white mulch is provided comprised of from 10 to 60 parts of a whitening agent, from three to 11 parts of a binder, from zero to one part of a stabilizer, and from 87 to 28 parts of water. The white mulch is useful for maintaining soil at a lower temperature during germination of crops.
