Abstract

Abstract Corrosion resistant stainless steels capable of developing very high tensile strengths, e.g., upwards of 350,000 psi, in the work hardened condition, the steels containing correlated amounts of chromium, molybdenum, nickel, cobalt, carbon, nitrogen, manganese and silicon. The steels are specifically directed to minimizing corrosive attack in low velocity seawater.
