Abstract THIS DISCLOSURE CONCERNS POLYURETHANES FORMED BY THE REACTION OF OXYALKYLATED, RESOLE-BASE POLYOLS AND POLYISOCYANATES. THE RESOLES USED HAVE A STRUCTURE COMPRISING, BY WEIGHT, 40 TO 70% MONOMERIC TRIMETHYLOL PHENOL AND DIMERIC RESOLES; 15 TO 30% DIMETHYLOL PHENOL AND TRIMERIC RESOLE; 5 TO 10% MONOMETHYLOL PHENOL, TETRAMERIC AND LARGER RESOLE POLYMERS AND 1% OR LESS PHENOL.
