Abstract
Abstract A process for catalytic cracking of hydrocarbons wherein fluidized molecular sieve catalyst is subjected to a heat treatment procedure, such as steaming, coincidentally upon addition to an existing cat-cracker catalyst inventory. A mixture of fluidized rare-earth-hydrogen Y catalyst and water or waterliquid hydrocarbon mixture, is injected directly into an existing hot (800*-1400*F.) fluid catalyst inventory whereupon heat treatment of the catalyst takes place within the cat-cracker unit.
