Abstract
Abstract A method for making a hydrophobic fibrous material is disclosed wherein a wet pulp is treated with conventional chemical sizing materials and thereafter the pulp is flash dried. The sized, flash dried hydrophobic fibrous material may be used to sorb oil from the surface of water.
