Abstract
Abstract An expanded metal mesh is corrugated so the ridges and valleys of the corrugations extend in the direction of expansion. An insulating material is applied to the mesh to form a composite insulating blanket in which the mesh is located adjacent one surface. The other surface of the composite blanket is placed against a substrate and fasteners mechanically attach the mesh to the substrate.
