Abstract
Abstract A coating or rubber base elastomeric material is provided on the bottom ply of the laminate and completed by subsequently hot pressing the various laminate plies to achieve bonding. The rubber coating functions as an adhesive layer when the laminate is applied to a substrate which is prime coated with a similar rubber base coating modified with an adhesive binder. Both prime coating and laminate coating are dry, firm and non-tacky. Adhesive bonding is achieved by mating the two coated surfaces.
