Abstract

Abstract A process for producing adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and adenosine diphosphate (ADP) which comprises culturing a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium, Micrococcus or Arthrobacter in an aqueous nutrient medium containing adenine, a derivative of adenine, such as adenosine or adenylic acid, or a substance containing the same, accumulating ATP and ADP therein and recovering the products. The yield may be increased by including at least about 0.4 percent by weight of PO4 as inorganic phosphate in the medium.
