Abstract
Abstract A porous electrically conductive member particularly suitable for forming an electrical heating element is formed by coating thin filaments with electrically conductive metal, cutting them into short lengths or fibres and piling the fibres into a feltlike mass. This is made into a cohesive element preferably by further metal deposition which adds another coating to make the fibres adhere at their points of contact, although sintering or other methods can be used.
