Abstract
Abstract A control and actuating apparatus for use in aerial surveying using a helicopter has first and second concentric arrays of laser beam sensitive cells in a laser beam detector for initiating operation of distance measuring equipment and of an altitude measuring device when the innermost array senses a laser beam and discontinuing the operation when the outermost array senses the laser beam.
