Abstract A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING MICROBIAL CELLS WHICH COMPRISES CULTURING A METHANOL-ASSIMILATING BACTERIUM BELONGING TO PROTAMINOBACTER RUBER IN AN AQUEOUS NUTRIENT MEDIUM, CONTROLLING THE ADDITION OF METHANOL TO SAID MEDIUM AS THE MAIN CARBON SOURCE TO EFFECT RAPID GROWTH OF MICROBIAL CELLS IN SAID MEDIUM, AND RECOVERING THE MICROBIAL CELLS THEREFROM.
