Abstract A PREFORMED POLYIMIDE HAVING A VOID CONTENT OF LESS THAN 5% WHICH CAN BE TEXTILE REINFORCED AND WHICH HAS GREAT STRENGTH, EVEN WHEN EXPOSED TO TEMPERATURES UPWARD OF 500*F. A METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH PREFORMED POLYIMIDE BY CAREFULLY CONTROLLING THE IMIDIZATION.
