Abstract A LEAD-ACID STORAGE BATTERY GROUP CONTAINING POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE PLATES WITH SUPPORTING LEAD ALLOY GRIDS, SEPARATORS BETWEEN THE PLATES AND PLATE STRAPS CAST ONTO THE GRIDS. THE PLATE STRAPS ARE BONDED TO THE GRIDS THROUGH A LEAD ALLOY BOND HAVING A MELTING POINT ABOUT 200*F. LOWER THAN THE MELTING POINT OF THE GRID ALLOY.
