Abstract A RECORDING MATERIAL COMPRISING A PHOTOCONDUCTIVE SUBSTANCE IS DESCRIBED WHEREIN THE SAID MATERIAL COMPRISES A SPECTRALLY SENSITIZING DYE WHICH COMPRISES IN ITS MOLECULE AT LEAST ONE N-SUBSTITUTED 2-AMINOTHIOPHENE RING. THE PHOTOCONDUCTIVE SUBSTANCE MAY BE AN INORGANIC PHOTOCONDUCTOR OR AN ORGANIC PHOTOCONDUCTOR.
