Abstract NOVEL METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF USING THERMALLY OPALIZABLE GLASS COMPOSITION COMPRISING SIO2, AL2O3, B2O3, NA2O, CAO AND MGO TO FORM OPAL ARTICLES HAVING OUTSTANDING PROPERTIES SUCH AS LOW COEFFICIENTS OF THERMAL EXPANSION AND HIGH RESISTANCE TO THERMAL SHOCK AND CHEMICAL ATTACK. THE RESULTANT ARTICLES, WHICH ARE CONVERTED BY NEW METHODS TO OPAL ARTICLES DURING FORMING OR BY SUBSEQUENT HEAT TREATMENTS, ARE USEFUL, FOR INSTANCE, AS CONTAINERS INCLUDING COOKWARE AND DINNERWARE.
