Abstract
Abstract A tubular paper core, about which a carpet roll is coiled, is provided at its opposite ends with a pair of barbed caps, which grip the outside wall of the core and the barbs of which can be bent outwardly, as with a screwdriver, without harming the carpet so that the caps can be removed simply and the carpet roll can be unwrapped readily.
