Abstract

Abstract A technique for examining vibratory or other changing characteristics of an object by constructing a time averaged hologram of the changing object. In one embodiment, the hologram constructing reference beam is of a single frequency distinct from that of the object illumination beam. In other embodiments, either the reference beam, the object illuminating beam or the object modified beam is modulated to include a plurality of frequencies.
