Abstract
Abstract This invention relates to 2-hydroxy-4-methyl-sulfinylbutyric acid and salts, esters, and amides thereof, that can be incorporated in the diet of animals to increase feed efficiency. Disclosed are methods for the preparation of the new sulfoxide compounds as well as feed compositions and feed concentrates containing them.
