Abstract
Abstract A method and apparatus for transmitting data relating to needle selection between a fixed part and the movable carriage of a flat bed knitting machine by a modulated carrier frequency without conducting wires. For each of a plurality of needle selection systems on the carriage there is provided a separate data channel through which synchronizing emitter pulses are transmitted from the carriage to a data memory on the fixed body which then transmits needle selection information back to the needle selection system on the carriage.
