Abstract

Abstract Composition, useful for curing polyepoxide having a plurality of 1,2-epoxy groups comprising an admixture of: A. a latent amine curing agent for a polyepoxide having a plurality of 1,2-epoxy groups, and B. an accelerator for (A), the accelerator having the formula WHEREIN WHEREIN X Cl, Br, CH3, NO2, H, or OCH3 Y Cl, Br, CH3, NO2, H, or OCH3 X and Y can be the same as each other or different from each other, Z a monovalent radical derived from a secondary amine having at least three carbon atoms, PROVIDED THAT WHEN X and Y are selected from the group consisting of Cl, Br, CH3, NO2, or -OCH3 or when X Br and Y H, then Z can be a monovalent radical derived from a secondary amine having at least two carbon atoms, THE ACCELERATOR BEING PRESENT IN AN AMOUNT OF ABOUT 0.1-300 PERCENT BY WEIGHT BASED ON THE WEIGHT OF THE LATENT AMINE CURING AGENT.
