Abstract
Abstract Antibiotic A-9145 produced by culturing Streptomyces griseolus NRRL 3739 in a nutrient culture medium under submerged aerobic fermentation conditions is recovered therefrom and obtained as a white amorphous water-soluble powder. Antibiotic A-9145 forms acid addition salts with pharmaceutically acceptable acids and inhibits growth of bacteria and fungi, especially Candida albicans.
