Abstract AN IMAGING PROCESS WHEREIN AN ELECTRICALLY PHOTOSENSITIVE IMAGING LAYER IS EXPOSED TO ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION TO WHICH IT IS SENSITIVE WHILE THE LAYER IS SUBJECTED TO AN ELECTRIC FIELD. SUBSEQUENT TO EXPOSURE, THE IMAGING LAYER IS ACTIVATED SO AS TO RENDER THE LAYER COHESIVELY WEAK SUCH THAT WHEN IT IS SANDWICHED BETWEEN A DONOR SHEET AND A RECEIVER SHEET AND SUBJECTED TO AN ELECTRIC FIELD THE IMAGING LAYER FRACTURES IN IMAGEWISE CONFIGURATION UPON SEPARATION OF THE SANDWICH.
