Abstract
Abstract 4-(5''-Nitrofurfurylideneamino)-octahydro-4H-1,4-benzthiazine1,1-dioxide is obtained from 4-amino-octahydro-4H-1,4benzthiazine-1,1-dioxide and 5-nitro-2-furfural, or a reactive derivative thereof. The compound has antiparasitic activity, particularly against Trypanosoma cruzi.
