Abstract
Abstract A photoconductive composition and electrophotographic plates made therefrom are disclosed comprising the combination of particulate cadmium sulfoselenide and zinc oxide pigments as the photoactive constituents. The plates have increased electrophotographic speed and broad spectral response for use in electrophotography. In the processing of the photoconductive composition heating of the pigments results in improved charge acceptance and electrophotgraphic speed of a plate made from the composition. The plate compositions disclosed comprise a styrene modified alkyd resin binder in which the Cd(SSe)-ZnO pigments are dispersed.
