Abstract
Abstract A copier-duplicator includes a master preparing section for uniformly charging and then exposing a photoelectrostatic master to provide a latent image on the master. An adjustable optical system permits the size of the image to be changed to provide copies of different sizes, and a controlled illumination source removes the charge from the unused area of the master to avoid spurious powder transfer to the copies. The prepared master is clamped on a rotating cylinder, and the image is developed by powder and transferred to copy sheets by a pressure roller as many times as required to produce the desired number of copies.
