Abstract
Abstract Apparatus and process for the removal of magnetizable particles during grinding of material containing such particles, e.g. grinding of iron-containing titanium ores or slag. The titanium ore, for example, is ground, ground material is pneumatically conveyed to a separator from whence the fines are withdrawn to be treated in conventional manner. The coarse material is subjected to magnetic attraction to remove magnetizable particles and the balance is recycled for further grinding.
