Abstract IN WHICH R IS ALKYL HAVING 1 TO 4 CARBON ATOMS. THE COMPOUNDS ARE MADE BY REACTING 3,4,5-TRIMETHOXY CINNAMOYL HALIDE WITH AN ESTER OF 1-PIPERAZINE PROPIONIC ACID IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ALKALINE AGENT. THE COMPOUNDS POSSESS PROPERTIES OF CORONARY DILATION WITH A DIMINUTION OF THE CARDIAC CONSUMPTION OF OXYGWEN AS WELL AS HYPOTENSIVE, VASOLIDATOR AND B-INHIBITOR PROPERTIES.
