Abstract A METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYESTER-URETHANE ELASTOMER THREADS IS DISCLOSED WHEREIN THE POLYESTER PORTION IS FORMED BY REACTING ADIPIC ACID WITH 2,2,4-TRIMETHYLHEXANEDIOL-1,6 AND/OR 2,4,4-TRIMETHYLHEXANEDIOL-1,6. THERESULTING PRDUCTS HAVE EXCELLENT MECHANICAL PROPERTIES AND A VERY HIGH HYDROLYTIC STABILITY.
