Abstract AQUEOUS WASTES AND PARTICULARLY AQUEOUS LATEX PAINT WASTES, ARE FLOCCULATED USING A POLYMER OF BENZYL C1-C4 DIALKYL ACRYLOYL- OR METHACRYLOYL-OXYALKYL AMMONIUM CHLORIDE. PREFERRED POLYMERS ARE PRODUCED BY AQUEOUS SOLUTION POLYMERIZATION AT A TEMPERATURE BELOW ABOUT 90* C. AND A PROPORTION OF ACRYLAMIDE OR METHACRYLAMIDE IS DESIRABLY PRESENT IN THE POLYMER.
