Abstract LOCATED IN THE UPPER PORTION OF THE SINGLE VESSEL REACTOR TO PRODUCE FUEL GAS. A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING FUEL GAS WHEREBY COKE FROM A CONVENTIONAL FLUID COKER IS REACTED WITH AN OXYGENCONTAINING GAS IN A LOW TEMPERATURE ZONE LOCATED IN THE LOWER PORTION OF A SINGLE VESSEL REACTOR TO PRODUCE FLUE GAS, AND THEN REACTING THE FLUE GAS ALONG WITH STEAM AND AIR OR OXYGEN WITH COKE WHICH HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED FROM THE LOW TEMPERATURE ZONE TO A HIGH TEMPERATURE ZONE
