Claim 1
Independent Claim
263 words
In an air-liquid spray system, a peripheral filter member and confining bottom and top heads for said member, a compressor, electric driving motor and control mechanism for the compressor within said filter member whereby air supplied to the compressor and for cooling said driving motor passes through said filter member, a replaceable reservoir, a housing for said reservoir having a hinged front cover, a flexible air conduit connected to said compressor passing into the housing and removably connected to said reservoir, an abutting member in the housing overlying said conduit, and a pressure member actuated upon opening of the housing cover to squeeze the conduit between the abutting member and presser member to stop air flow through the conduit, a spray gun, a mixing chamber in the spray gun having a spring biased outlet valve adjacent one end and a spring biased inlet valve adjacent the other end, an abutment at one end engaging one of said spring biased valves, an operator member engaging the other of said spring biased valves, an air inlet conduit connected from said reservoir to said mixing chamber intermediate said valves, a liquid inlet conduit connected from said reservoir to said spring biased inlet valve, a spray orifice communicating with said outlet valve, the outlet valve spring being weaker than the inlet valve spring, whereby movement of said operator member in actuating direction compresses said valve springs to first open the outlet valve, and an adjustable stop limiting movement of the operator member in actuating direction to control the proportion of liquid to air entering the mixing chamber.

Claim 3
Dependent Claim
97 words
In a spray gun, a mixing chamber having a spring biased outlet valve adjacent one end and a spring biased inlet valve adjacent the other end, an abutment at one end engaging one of said spring biased valves, an operator member engaging the other of said spring biased valves, an air inlet for said chamber intermediate said valves, and a spray orifice communicating with said outlet valve, the outlet valve spring being weaker than the inlet valve spring, whereby movement of said operator member in actuating direction compresses said valve springs to first open the outlet valve.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
97 words
In a spray gun, a mixing chamber having a spring biased outlet valve adjacent one end and a spring biased inlet valve adjacent the other end, an abutment at one end engaging one of said spring biased valves, an operator member engaging the other of said spring biased valves, an air inlet for said chamber intermediate said valves, and a spray orifice communicating with said outlet valve, the outlet valve spring being weaker than the inlet valve spring, whereby movement of said operator member in actuating direction compresses said valve springs to first open the outlet valve.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
37 words
A spray gun as specified in claim 2, wherein said inlet spring biased valve has a housing with an opening therein controlled by said inlet valve, and a flexible conduit for liquid is connected to said housing.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
25 words
A spray gun as specified in claim 3 wherein said housing has an extension and said flexible conduit has a friction fit over said extension.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
18 words
A spray gun as specified in claim 2 wherein said operator member engages the inlet spring biased valve.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
49 words
A spray gun as specified in claim 5 wherein said inlet spring biased valve has a housing extension with an opening therein controlled by said inlet valve, and a flexible conduit for liquid is connected to said extension, said operator member having an opening through which the conduit passes.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
34 words
A spray gun as specified in claim 2 having an adjustable stop for limiting movement of the operator member in actuating direction to control the proportion of liquid to air entering the mixing chamber.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
16 words
A spray gun as specified in claim 7 wherein said adjustable stop comprises a rotatable cam.
