Abstract

Abstract A nuclear reactor core monitoring system in which the neutron flux and/or temperature at locations along a passage extending through the core are sensed by detectors in an elongated instrumentation assembly inserted into the passage from a handling station outside the core region. The instrumentation assembly is laterally flexible so that it can negotiate bends in the passage. A hollow tube is included in the assembly for insertion therein of a standard neutron detector for periodically calibrating the other detectors.
