Abstract
Abstract Apparatus for supporting a bed of granular material through which fluid under pressure is continuously passed including an upright elongated vessel, means for diffusing incoming fluid to the vessel, a screen assembly for supporting the bed of granular material and a collecting chamber formed in the bottom of the vessel beneath the screen assembly.
