Abstract

Abstract A radiant heat gas burner comprising a radiant element formed of a refractory ceramic honeycomb, and a porous gas injection block formed of refractory fibers can be operated at high turn-down ratios and at high temperatures. Still higher operating temperatures can be reached when the combustion chamber is either completely or partially filled by refractory fibers.
