Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 3
Claim 1
Independent Claim 75 words
A rotary kiln having a metal-to-metal seal between the rotary structure and a stationary end structure in which the seal is enclosed in a chamber having moving and stationary walls between which there is an annular gap leading to the interior of the kiln, and means are provided for delivering a stream of gas into the chamber to pass from it into the kiln through the gap, thereby preventing the outward passage of dust-laden gas.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 75 words
A rotary kiln having a metal-to-metal seal between the rotary structure and a stationary end structure in which the seal is enclosed in a chamber having moving and stationary walls between which there is an annular gap leading to the interior of the kiln, and means are provided for delivering a stream of gas into the chamber to pass from it into the kiln through the gap, thereby preventing the outward passage of dust-laden gas.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 48 words
