Abstract
Abstract A conveyor belt comprising rubber magnets embedded below the belt surface and magnetically shortcircuited by magnetic members. The magnetic members under the belt surface are displaced from the rubber magnets when longitudinal cracks appear on the belt. Variation in the outside magnetic field of the rubber magnet due to displacement of the magnetic bodies are detected by detectors which indicate the appearance of longitudinal cracks.
