Abstract POLYESTER AND CELLULOSE TRIACETATE FIBERS ARE MADE DYE RECEPTIVE AND RESISTANT TO BURNING BY IMPREGNATING THE FIBERS WITH AN ORGANIC SOLVENT SOLUTION OF ANY OF CERTAIN POLYBROMINATED PHENOL DERIVATIVES. THE IMPREGNATED FIBERS ARE RESISTANT TO LOSS OF THE BROMINATED COMPOUND DURING LAUNDERING OR DRY CLEANING.
