Abstract
Abstract A yarn cleaner capable of generating a signal for instigating the cutting of a travelling yarn in response to the thickness thereof measured in relation to the length thereof, only when the value of this signal exceeds a predetermined value. For determining as to whether the value of the instigating signal exceeds the predetermined value, a plurality of counters is provided from which the instigating signal can be generated in response to the achievement of a specific condition.
