Abstract

Abstract A mechanism for use in a typewriter to aid a typist in correcting errors on the original typewritten page while it is being typed. A ribbon containing error correction material is supported by slidable means between a ribbon supply spool and a ribbon take-up spool. When actuated by a typist, a pivotable means moves the slidable means and correction ribbon into position for transferring the error correction material from the ribbon over the typed error.
