Abstract A PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING A LIQUID PESTICIDAL ACTIVE COMPOUND IS DESCRIBED HEREIN. THE PROCESS INVOLVES THE REACTION OF A MIXTURE OF LOWER ALIPHATIC ALCOHOLS WITH PHOSPHORUS PENTASULFIDE TO FORM A MIXTURE OF DITHIOPHOSPHORIC ACIDS. THESE ACIDS OR THEIR SALTS ARE THEN REACTED WITH N-CHLOROMETHYL PHTHALIMIDE TO PRODUCE A LIQUID MIXTURE OF PRODUCTS HAVING PESTICIDALLY ACTIVE PROPERTIES.
