Abstract

Abstract Method of preparing telomers, such as those derived from toluene as the telogen and 1,3-butadiene as the taxogen, which comprises carrying out the telomerization reaction in the presence of a hydrocarbon-soluble organometallic complex of metals of Groups I and IIa of the periodic system, exemplified by complexes of di-nbutylmagnesium with n-butyllithium of n-butyl-potassium.
