Abstract Novel N- Alpha -(C1-C4)alkyl-benzyl natural fatty acid amides of the formula WHEREIN R1 is a fatty acid residue of a naturally occurring oil such as safflower oil etc., and R2 is alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms having excellent blood cholesterol lowering effects are provided.
