Abstract A CONSTRUCTION FOR COLLECTING AND GROWING MICRO-ORGANISMS OBTAINED FROM AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION COMPRISING FILTER SEALED TO ONE SURFACE OF AN ABSORBENT PAD CONTAINING A NUTRIENT FOR THE MICRO-ORGANISM. THE MICRO-ORGANISMS IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION ARE FILTERED THROUGH THE FILTER UNDER THE CAPILLARY ACTION OF THE PAD. THE MICRO-ORGANISMS ARE DEPOSITED ON THE FILTER AND THE AQUEOUS SOLUTION PASSED INTO THE PAD PROVIDES A VEHICLE FOR CONTACTING THE NUTRIENT AND ORGANISMS.
