Abstract A METHOD FOR FLAME CLEANING OR FLAME COATING EMPLOYING THE STEPS OF PRODUCING A JET FLAME IN A COMBUSTION CHAMBER, PASSING THE FLAME THROUGH A VENTURI ELEMENT POSITIONED EXTERIORLY OF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER, THE VENTURI ELEMENT BEING IN COMMUNICATION WITH A SUPPLY OF ABRASIVE OR COATING PARTICLES, INTRODUCING THE PARTICLES INTO THE FLAME BY MEANS OF THE VACUUM CREATED IN THE VENTURI ELEMENT BY THE PASSAGE THERETHROUGH OF THE FLAME, AND DIRECTING THE FLAME AND PARTICLES ONTO A SURFACE THAT IS TO BE CLEANED OR COATED.
